The Cincinnati arts scene is thriving and there are numerous theaters staging a variety of live performances including concerts, theater, opera and choral performances. The US Bank Arena is the main venue for large concerts and it hosts headliner acts from all over America and the world.

The Aronoff Center for the Arts houses three theaters and stages all manner of entertainment. There are also a large number of community theater stages and companies in the city including The Falcon Theater, Rising Phoenix Theater Company and the Sunset Players.

Live music is a popular form of entertainment in Cincinnati and there are plenty of places where you can see local artists and bands. Main Street is downtown's principal strip and it has the highest concentration of bars and clubs in the city. Jefferson Hall is one of the most popular places to enjoy a pint, watch some sport or hear some blues, while the Overflow draws an eclectic crowd and has regular DJ nights. Southgate House, a two-minute trip across the bridge into Newport is one of the most popular live music venues and hosts touring indie bands, as well as local favourites.
